Meeting the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act

In 1995 the Disability Discrimination Act was published, providing notice of the Enforcement of the Act in October 2004. The Act created the right of access for disabled people in all areas for the purchase or use of goods, facilities and services. It is unlawful for goods and service providers to refuse to supply a service or to offer a lower standard of service to a disabled person.  

This Legislation requires the provision of auxiliary aids and services, for a disabled person, where a service is provided in inaccessible premises.
